Digital Yacht and Actisense join Forces in Asia
19 April 2011
Digital Yacht and Actisense, two UK based specialist marine electronic manufacturing companies have announced an exciting agreement for marketing in China. Actisense will share Digital Yacht’s Shanghai facility, which opened at the beginning of 2010, to offer a local language and logistics facility for their range of products in the Chinese market place.
The new joint venture will make its debut at this year’s 16th China (Shanghai) Boat Show where a full range of Digital Yacht, Digital Deep Sea and Actisense products will be on display at stand E1208.
“We are pleased to offer the Actisense range of NMEA2000 and NMEA0183 interfaces alongside our current range of products, as we see it as symbiotic with our existing range and ideal for use in the expanding Chinese boat builder market place,” commented Nick Heyes, Managing Director of Digital Yacht. “We opened our China facility last year and it has proved invaluable at accelerating our R & D programme. Now it is time to turn our focus to local market sales and we are delighted to have Actisense on board.”
NMEA 2000 based networks are becoming increasingly important on modern yachts and motorboats as they greatly simplify installations and provide a common backbone to allow multiple products to integrate together.
